Match report A lovely bright Sunday morning, with a slightly damp pitch and a Friendly fixture against Wheathampstead from Hertfordshire.
CAPTAIN KEERTHIGAN won the toss and elected to bowl.
10 overs, 52 runs, no wickets and two dropped catches were the 'highlights' of the first half of the visitors innings. Then we took three catches; CAPTAIN KEERTHIGAN, HARSHNIL VARSANI and JEEVAN SIDHU, took 4 wickets and restricted them to 103 for 5. Definitely a better second half, including debutant RUHAAN BHATT bowling 3 overs, 1 maiden for 4.
Having been sleepy, sluggish and slow in the field early on, we certainly were opposite when holding the bat. SAM GOODMAN sped to a very quick 25, which was the pre-arranged agreed score on which he had to retire. This included five 4's. JEEVAN SIDHU also opened and pushed a quick 20. Debutant NISHIL MEHTA knocked a nice 7, ZAMAAN DUDHIA hit a smart 15 and CAPTAIN KEERTHIGAN an unbeaten 23. The winning run was knocked off by KISHEN PATEL in the 17th over.
