Match report Last League match away to Eastcote saw us suffer our first defeat of the season.
We had to play on an astroturf pitch that obviously gave us an immediate disadvantage, as it negated our super spinners.
Eastcote won the toss and elected to bat. They pushed on a big score in the first 8 overs...90-0 !
But, then we challenged more and only allowed them 90 from the next 12 overs. We also did not bowl many wides and kept the bowling reasonably tight. A couple of catches were taken by SAM GOODMAN and JEEVAN SIDHU and some fielding was very good, but with some blips!
When we batted, we made a lot of wrong decisions, such as having 4 run outs and a couple of poor shots that went up in the air to fielders.
The good thing was that we managed to be bout out at the end, with DEVAM SAVJANI and BOB McCANN holding up their ends for 6 overs.
A couple of Friendlies to come and not sure whether we have made the Play-Offs, but a great season so far!
