Match report After the storms and a touch of rain, the match was never really in doubt and in fact it got hotter as time went on.
We fielded first and did not look great out there really. We made several fielding errors, allowed several gaps in the field and lots of unwanted silly comments towards each other, rather than keeping it all positive between us. However, we were playing the team in the League above us and they won their League! We allowed them 123 runs, thanks to Mr. Extras being the top scorer...again! He got 37. Also we misfielded several times and some of those times were on the boundary and a four was often the outcome. Nevertheless, it was a gettable score for us, just 6 an over.
And get it we did, with 13 balls to spare.
We did not lose our first wicket until 72 runs and that was in the 9th over. This was helped by CAPTAIN CHUDASAMA who scored 24 and ran between the wickets beautifully, as normal, wherever the ball went, even a touch, he managed to get to the other end! AMIR SHAH had previously retired out on 32. This was due to an agreement at the beginning, as often happens in Friendlies, that a player once scoring 30, should retire. The other boys came in and scored regularly, so the total required was continually dwindling, until DEVAM SAVJANI hit the ball to the backward point boundary and victory was gained.
Well done boys! Three Friendly victories from three post season friendly matches.
