Match report The third match in the trilogy of Ickenham Friendlies. We are now 2 - 1 up!
We slogged away in the field and in the heat first.
we restricted Ickenham CC to just about 4 runs an over, until they took 35 runs from the last 5 overs. This set us a target of 94 to win. We fielded well today, taking 4 catches, 2 by ROHAN ASHAR and got 2 run outs, mainly due to quick thinking of which end to throw by AAKASH SURESH. AMIR SHAH took 3 wickets in his best spell this season. 8 wickets we took, but just couldn't quite get the last two.
We then went into bat. ROBERT SHERMER started off quickly again, crashing 14 runs. CAPTAIN KISHAN PATEL, who has been enjoying his spell of captaincy in Aaron Chudasama's absence, made a fine knock of 21. He also shared a third wicket partnership of 39 with KISHEN PATEL, who made his top score of 12. AAKASH SURESH cleared any dnager of defeat when he confidently hit 19 from about 20 balls.
