Match report The Common was alive with just over 40 boys of under 13 age playing two matches and some very keen and 'interested' parents shivering on the boundary.
The C's were to play the Development Squad, which is those boys who are not yet in one of the teams, but are keen and entusiastic and are wanting to push their way into the A, B or C squads.
The C Team batted, with a new, cunning line up. Tactically, ROBERT SHERMER and ROHAN BHARADIA lined up on the blocks, to blast away to a good start. This they did, scoring 25 from 28 balls, before ROBERT SHERMER was run out. ROHAN BHARADIA went on to retire at 20. Debutant, VIRESH KANAKARATNAM, also retired on 12. The Development Squad's; Aakash bowled very well, conceding just 7 runs from his 4 overs. Well done Aakash. Runs slowed a bit and we must keep pushing the runs. It is only 20 overs! Total made, was 87 for 2.
A quick change round in the gloom and chill of The Common, which is the third highest point in London!
The Development Squad pushed it right to the end and it went to the final over, with a 6 needed from the final delivery, but CAPTAIN CHUDASAMA was too cool to allow that to happen. All five bowlers took at least 1 wicket, with JACK OSBORNE taking 2 and Vice-Captain KISHAN PATEL snuffling 2.
