Match report Well, everything seemed to come together at the same time in the same match.
CAPTAIN CHUDASAMA called correctly at the toss and chose to field. A good decision as it turned out to be, as we got MTSSC all out for 52 in 14.5 overs. We also took a season's best 4 catches; VICE-CAPTAIN PATEL, wicket-keeper KARNAN SEMBIAN, AAKASH SURESH and a stunning leaning back one handed catch at mid off by JACK OSBORNE. Absolute pick of the bowlers was RITIK GAMI who took 4 - 8 from 4 overs, with 2 maidens. The consistent BOB McCANN took 3 - 18.
So a good target for us to attack. Oh dear, a run out in the third over, 5 - 1. PLUS we had practiced calling and running at training the evening before! But maybe, it was a one off, NO, it happened again, 2 run outs in the first 7 overs. Then, however, CAPTAIN CHUDASAMA, ROHAN BHARADIA and AAKASH SURESH saw us home. VIRESH KANAKARATNAM hit a smashing 6 to the square leg boundary and AAKASH SURESH hit a superb straight 6.
So another win, which means that we are still in with a shout for the League title. Last League match next week, but Friendlies are being planned, as well as Play Offs if we win the League!
