Match report Lovely day on The Common. Lots going on. The U13C Team had a match with Ickenham, to whom we lost a couple of weeks ago.
CAPTAIN CHUDASAMA won the toss and selected to bat.
We started off well and looked well in control until a wicket went in the fifth over, when we were on 22. Our run rate slowed down a bit and we do need to keep scoring throughout an innings. It was helped by a super Man of the Match 16 from DEVAM SAVJANI. We finished a little disappointingly short on 91 for 6.
After a drink and a break, we were right ready to get them out, or keep them low.
Unfortunately, 3 dropped catches, 4 poor misfields and some irregular bowling later, Ickenham were wll on course to reach our target. Vice-Captain KISHAN PATEL took the only wicket and the only catch and it was all over after just 13 overs.
We must practice our ground fielding and we MUST take the catches.
