Match report A very useful match before the start of the Middlesex Colts North Area League, saw the C Squad meet for the first time.
The weather couldn't have been much better after the last few days and we managed to get a full 20 overs a team match in.
The B Squad batted first and batted well, calling and running in good fashion. We managed to keep the wickets column ticking over and generally bowled well. Unfortunately, what let us down was giving away 67 runs in wides!!!
However, some boys bowled well; MOHAMMED HUSSEIN took the first wicket and finished with 1 for 2, CHIRAG KHATRI also bowled well and took 2 for 4.
Fielding was generally quite good, but we must throw accurately to the wicket keeper and we must back up better. Training practice!
We did not waste much in the way of pencil lead when we batted. We couldn't seem to hit it away. We only hit 2 fours, by AARON CHUDASAMA and ROBERT SHERMER and top score was AARON with 11.
So, we lost, but it was against the B Squad who have got some good players.
Now big attention is turned to training on Monday evening where the team will be selected for Tuesday evening, when we host Pinner B.
