Match report We arranged an early start so that we couldsee most of England's footy match. Thank you to Hayes for getting here early.
We lost the toss...AGAIN! We were invited to bat.
So off we began and before you knew it 10 for 2 off 2 overs. Mmh, interesting start. Then JACK BROWN making his first appearance of the season came to the wicket. He didn't have a 'knock', it was more of a 'thump' and after a few singles and 7 4's and 3 6's he had made 50 runs, accompanied by a clap and a cheer from the Team on the boundary. He eventually made 69. HAMMAD KHALID and ROBERT SHERMER saw the Innings through to the end safely, making 7 and 10 respectively. 149 for 5 after our 20 overs.
On with the Hayes B innings, no time to waste with the football looming. CAPTAIN NIKESH MISTRI obviously wanted to watch the football and was probably glad to lose the toss. This was because his first over and Hayes B's first over went like this; . . . W W W. A hattrick in the first over, I have never seen that in my 27 years. 0-3 after one over, fantastic. But, CHIRAG KHATRI bowled the second over and after one dot, bowled the batsman, 0 - 4 !!! NIKESH's second over was also a wicket maiden, so the skipper had 0 -4 as well!!! We did let them off the hook, as we have done with teams before, something we need to, MUST, stop. We dropped 5 FIVE! chances. They ended up with 63 all out and we had gained another win. Well done boys.
