Match report Another splendid performance by the boys resulting in a second consecutive win. CAPTAIN MISTRI lost the toss...again! Pinner B chose to bat.
Stanmore opened with a pacy pair of opening bowlers. The outstanding HAMMAD KHALID took 2 wickets for 2 runs in 4 overs. Superb! KUSH SHAH rattled the stumps of batsman number 5. So after those two's 8 overs, Pinner B were 21-5. A devestating start. NIKESH MISTRI then came on with his speedy spins and snaffled 3 wickets for just 7 runs. His best bowling performance EVER for Stanmore CC. The fourth bowler was JACK OSBORNE and he also kept it tight with 3 overs for just 4 runs and also taking a wicket with his last ball. Three superb run outs from the Vice-Captain SAHIL CHANDARANA, HAMMAD KHALID and CAPTAIN MISTRI cut Pinner B right back. Two catches were also taken by DYLAN BHARADIA and CAPTAIN MISTRI. 32 all out.
And so to bat.
A small score, but our batting has nevertheless been somewhat shaky, so it was never a definite win.
In the first over, DISASTER!, MOHAMMED HUSSAIN was run out while taking a strange run. Then a quick second wicket and then a third wicket for just 12. KISHAN PATEL was bowled the ball after he was rapped on the inside of the knee. DYLAN BHARADIA entered the square and immediately decided to have a thwack and scored a quick 8, before concentration deserted him and he was stumped standing outside his crease. But, CHIRAG KHATRI and AARON CHUDASAMA calmly eased the score from 16 for 4 to another fine victory, CHIRAG not out 1 and AARON not out on 8.
A smashing win!
