Match report Match Summmary

On a cold and gloomy morning, we played some excellent cricket to beat a very strong looking MTSSC, 241 to 252 net runs and maintaining the unbeaten run so far this season.

Ed won the toss and elected to field. Joseph Mohan was on target in both his overs, taking a wicket in each over with good accurate bowling. Once again excellent fielding from the Stanmore boys restricted the run flow for MTSSC, including a direct hit run out from Vinai. Tej then came to bowl and skittled the opposition returning brilliant figures of 3 wickets for 6 runs in his first 2 overs. More brilliant bowling followed from Josh, Ashir and Mr. Dependable Vinai who also bowled a maiden over, yet again.

We batted positively and cautiously with a steady run flow and by maintaining our wickets we ensured that we crossed the line safely. Danny hit a couple of lusty blows and Ashir rotated the strike well. Josh and Joseph did well in the middle order and kept the momentum going and the last pair of Ed and Panav ensured the game was in the bag.
