Match report OMT proves too strong for Stanmore.

Slow scoring rate and the regular fall of wickets saw Stanmore slump to a 7 run defeat. The matters were not helped much by the 26 extras conceded by the bowlers either.

Having won the toss and invited the home side to bat first, Stanmore failed to capitalise on a somewhat damp pitch to containing the opposition for any length of time and letting the hosts slip to 74 for 9.

The fielding had its ups and downs with some good catching and plenty of opportunities to restrict OMTs to a lower total. This is further highlighted by the fact that OMTs had 18 singles and 9 twos in their total in comparison to Stanmore’s 13 singles and 6.

Edward Stock, with 2 catches and 2 for 17 to his name was also the only player to reach double figures in batting. Imran Kermalli 2 for 4 and Dhylan Patel 2 for 10 were the other main contributors in the bowling,
