Match report Stanmore got off to a great start, scoring 20 off the first 2 overs, but when Joseph was bowled, Uxbridge's confidence improved along with their bowling and after a few tight overs, Steven tried to force the run rate and got caught on the boundary. It was over to Zunair and Rishi to steady the ship and they didn't disappoint; Zunair dominated the Uxbridge bowlers with an outstanding innings which included 15 x 4's and 3 x 6's, had one of the 4's which looked to have gone over the rope for 6 have been given, Zunair would have had his maiden century - but it wasn't to be and Zunair had to settle for an unbeaten 98.

Now it was over to the bowlers to defend the 165 runs that Stanmore had piled on the board, and after 3 overs, Uxbridge were 1-1, with a wicket for Brandon and 2 maidens for none other than ZUNAIR. However, Uxbridge were determined not to be rolled over and they dug deep, but their resilience was matched by our own. Stanmore produced their best fielding display of the season, committed to saving every run possible with diving on the boundary, backing up and not least of all holding the catches that came their way. Harry and Joseph chipped in taking wickets, as did Aditya in his first under 13 game for Stanmore. 2 run outs by Kritin sealed Uxbridge's fate.

An outstanding team performance and a deserved win for Stanmore - if we can reproduce this in the next game, we will be a tough team to beat..... Well Done!
