The Stanmore Cricket Club

One of our long standing Club members, Umesh Valjee was awarded the MBE in the new year honours for his services to Deaf Cricket.
As well as staring in our First Eleven he has also captained the England Deaf Cricket Team for many seasons and last winter he scored three centuries during an Ashes tour in Australia.
Congratulations Umesh on your award it is well deserved.
