Norty Middlesex v The Stanmore Cricket Club 3rd XI on Sat 14 Jun 2003 at 1.30
The Stanmore Cricket Club Won 8 Wickets

Match report The game was played on the North Middlesex postage stamp.
We bowled magnificently to restrict the oppo, who won the toss to only 208, which was probably about 60 runs below what should have a reasonable total. The pick of the bowlers was without doubt John Hand, who "Chiese esque" spell brought him 6 for 69 in 19 overs, but credit must go to all of the bowlers for their magnificent effort.
When the batters then went to work, they were aided in thier resolve by the innane chirping of the oppo, who were reduced to silence as Evans and Harradine began to take the attack apart. The momentum wasn't lost once Evans was out as Kan signalled his intent by cover driving his first ball for 4. We eventually reached our target in the 36th over as Alpesh took the opening bowler for 14 runs in three balls.
The total stuffing of the team who were in joint second place at the start of the day was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
