Match report Another fine day of the British summer, with t-shirts and shorts the order of the day and a trip to Ruislip for us.
We had a bat first and ended on a reasonable 86 for 7. Two run outs as we were pushing for runs towards the end, but five boys were bowled. Protect your wickets ! Top scorer was KARNAN SEMBIAN who is in scintillating form at the minute. He scored 22. AARON CHUDASAMA weighed in with aniother good 13.
We did bat well, both technically and in terms of calling. However, we must just keep pushing the runs along and hit the ball hard and take a couple of chances towards the end. A pleasing batting performance nevertheless.
A reasonable target to defend and what a magnificent start by the two debutants. RITIK and RIKAZ were selected after some good performances in Monday training sessions and definitely did not disappoint. RITIK was 1 - 5 from 4 overs, RIKAZ was 1 - 16 from 4 overs, but gave 10 from his last over. Well done boys. This tremendous start made it difficult for Ruislip B, but they got reasonably close, needing 27 from 3 overs, 22 from 2 and 17 from the last, which included a 6!
So, we won by 7 runs and continue our push for the League title.
